Makeup Forever HD Foundation

I’ve been waiting to try the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation since….FOREVER. Every time I came close to buying it, the price made me cringe and slowly back away….but I finally forced myself to do it.

As seen below, I purchased the MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Complexion Starter Kit in the shade “115 Ivory – for light skin with pink undertones” from Sephora.com

– 0.17 oz HD Microfinish Powder

– 0.5 oz HD Microperfecting Primer

– 1.01 oz HD Invisible Cover Foundation

– HD Kabuki Brush

The price for the kit was $79, which was a bit of a splurge for me, but so far I’m LOVING it!!

First I applied the Microperfecting Primer with my finger all over my face, working from the center out. Then I used a damp Beautyblender to apply the foundation. The HD Foundation gives a perfect flawless coverage, but you will need concealer for any blemishes! One thing I absolutely loved about this foundation is that it did not feel heavy on my skin- at all. And, it didn’t look too dewey or too matte, it looked just right. Lastly, I set the foundation using the HD Invisible Cover Foundation and HD Kabuki Brush. I simply just dabbed the kabuki brush into the powder and used stippling motions to pat the powder onto my skin, so it wouldn’t disturb the foundation. After the powder was applied I simply went in circular motions around my face with the kabuki brush to blend in the HD powder. This method worked wonderfully for me, my skin looked glowing and fresh.

If you’ve yet to find your ‘holy grail’ foundation I highly recommend you give this one a try! Not to mention, with Sephora’s refund policy you really have nothing to lose if you end up not liking it (;
